Steph: Welcome to Late Night Reads. I'm Steph.
Megan: And I'm Megan.
Steph: And it's time to share our TBR schedule for July. Each week, we deep dive into a new book, alternating between contemporary romance and romantasy genres. As always, our July TBR schedule is packed with seven great reads that we know you're going to love. First up is The Veil of Blood and Magic by Jade Presley on July 2nd. She has quickly become one of our favorite authors this year. We're ecstatic about diving into this why choose romantasy and immersing ourselves in her incredible world-building once again.
Megan: Then it’s time for our first bonus episode in July, which is the fourth book in the Blood and Ash series, The War of Two Queens by Jennifer Armentrout. We cannot wait to find out what happens next after Casteel is taken prisoner by the Queen of Solis, also known as Isbeth, and see how Poppy is going to get her king back. Plus, we are very curious to see how what we've learned from the first book in the prequel series, A Shadow in the Ember, will play into the storyline. So make sure to join us on July 7th to dive into The War of Two Queens.
Steph: Our first contemporary romance for this month is on July 9th with Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn. If you haven't noticed, we love everything that Meghan Quinn writes. She is one of our must-buy authors and the romcom queen. And her latest book, Till Summer Do Us Part, might be her best one yet. Did we mention that her MMC Wilder has two piercings? Trust us, you're gonna love this one.
Megan: I cannot wait for that. Oh my gosh. And then on July 16th, we're getting into our monster era with The Wren in the Holly Library by K.A. Linde. So this dark romantasy is the first book in the Oak and Holly Cycle series and was loosely inspired by Beauty and the Beast.
Steph: Our next bonus episode is on July 21st, and we're covering the second book in the Flesh and Fire series, A Light in the Flame by Jennifer Armentrout. We are dying to know what happens next with Nyktos and Sera, how Kolis will respond to learning that Sera is the new Primal of Life, and how this story will influence what is happening in the Blood and Ash series.
Megan: Our contemporary romance episode on July 23rd is A Very Italian Wedding by Donna Ashcroft. This book is the perfect book to read by the beach or pool and makes you feel like you're spending the summer in Italy. Plus, it has some of the most unforgettable characters.
Megan: Give this one a read and join us, Ben, Rose, and the entire wedding crew for a holiday romance in Italy.
Steph: Our last episode for the month is another romantasy on July 30th. We're continuing our Monster Era by covering The Robin on the Oak Throne by K.A. Linde. This is the second book in the Oak and Holly Cycle series and was just released in June.
Megan: We're continuing our author interview episodes with new ones dropping on Fridays. We're excited to highlight even more great authors and the amazing books they create on our show.
Steph: We hope you read along with us, so you're well prepared to deep dive into these books with us, starting on July 2nd.
