Steph: Welcome to Late Night Reads. I'm Steph.
Megan: And I'm Megan.
Steph: And it's time to share our TBR schedule for October. Each week, we deep dive into a new book, alternating between the contemporary romance and romantasy genres. As always, our October TBR schedule is packed with six great reads that we know you're going to love. We kick off the month with contemporary romance and the Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws. You are going to love the banter between Calder and Dakota. Their unforgettable reunion in a sex club. Oh yeah. The activity list they create to help Dakota get her groove back, and watching the former playboy fall in love.
Megan: Then it's time for our first romantasy episode of the month. We are diving into The Night Prince by Lauren Palphreyman. This is the second book in The Wolf King series, and we cannot wait to see the impact of the life force connection between Blake and Aurora. What revenge Callum is going to see against his brother for hurting Aurora, and what all of this talk about the darkness might mean. Cannot wait.
Steph: Cannot wait. Our second romantasy episode is the final book in The Wolves of Crescent Creek series by Tessa Hale that drops on October 13th, and we have been waiting to get our hands on this book for months, and it does not disappoint.
Megan: Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme that book. I want it, I want it so bad. So then on October 15th, we are chatting about Bad for Business by Kat Singleton. This is the second book in the Pembroke Hill series focusing on Camille and Ryker’s story. There was clear tension between the two of them when we first met them in the book In Good Company, and we cannot wait to see how their hatred heats up into love.
Steph: Our last romantasy book for the month is the one we have been waiting for all year.
Megan: The Holy Grail.
Steph: The Holy Grail.
Steph: The sixth book in the Blood and Ash series, The Primal of Blood and Bone by Jennifer Armentrout. We cannot wait to see what happens now that Poppy has risen as the Primal of Blood and Bone. What's gonna happen with Nyktos, Sera, Poppy, Casteel, and Kieran all in the same realm working together? Who can we trust? And the countless other bombs that we anticipate Jennifer Armentrout is going to drop on us in this book. We know we are going to be emotionally destroyed, and I will likely cry.
Megan: Likely, likely cry. And it's probably gonna be like a 20-hour-long episode. Like I swear, it's gonna be insane.
Megan: And then our last book for October is the contemporary romance Pucking Around by Emily Rath. It's a why choose hockey romance and the spiciest book we've ever covered on the podcast. And that's saying something because we've covered some spicy books. But trust us, you need to read this book and join us when the episode drops on October 29th.
Steph: And we're continuing our author episodes with new ones dropping on select Fridays this month.
Megan: And we hope you read along with us so you're well prepared to deep dive into these books, starting with us on my birthday, October 1st.
